A Legacy of Hope. A Future of Belonging.

The Annie Willis Giving Society honors the extraordinary legacy of Annie Willis, Executive Director Ashley Cross’ grandmother, who was a lifelong advocate for children and families.

Guided by the belief that every child deserves a safe and loving home, Annie dedicated her life to serving children in the foster care system. She founded Denver, Adams, and Arapahoe County Cares (DAACC), a Colorado child placement agency that recruited, trained, and supported foster families while overseeing foster homes throughout the region.

During her 17 years as Executive Director, Annie built a culture of compassion, accountability, and hope that transformed countless lives. Throughout her career, she also fostered children herself and helped provide care, support, and stability for more than 1,000 children in the foster care system.

Annie’s legacy is one of faithful service, courageous leadership, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

The Annie Willis Giving Society recognizes those whose generosity carries forward that same vision—investing in hope, strengthening families, and creating brighter futures for generations to come.
